Should You Get a Tankless Water Heater?

One of the most convenient and comfortable water heater options are tankless water heaters. If you’re searching for a new water heater, check out these awesome facts and consider going tankless.

1) Conserve Energy & Money

For the cost-conscious and energy-efficient consumer, tankless water heaters are an excellent option. Other types of water heaters use energy needlessly. This keeps the water in the tank at a certain temperature even when they are not in use. Tankless water heaters, often referred to as “Demand Type” water heaters, use hot water only as necessary. This helps to reduce your carbon footprint and save money at the same time.

2) Endless Supply of Hot Water

Are you sick of taking showers only to run out of hot water? Or, perhaps you have a big family and have to split up showers to avoid the last person taking an icy shower or bath. Tankless water heaters provide an endless supply of hot water, so you don’t have to worry about your shower going cold ever again.

3) Longer Lasting

While the startup cost for a tankless water heater is often greater than its traditional counterparts, you won’t have to worry about replacing it as early. Tankless water heaters often last much longer than traditional water heaters, which can cost thousands to replace when they break. In comparison, traditional “storage” water heaters will break after approximately 10 to 15 years. Tankless water heaters have a lifespan of over 20 years!

Whether your desire is to reduce your carbon footprint, avoid early replacement of your water heater, or to save money, tankless water heaters are a great option for your Denver home.

Called AAA for a leaking floor drain. Right upon walking into the house the tech started talking about how due to the age of the house the line was probably corroded. The tech said he was unable to snake the line due to blockage and corrosion/breakage (now wondering if this was false) so he called the supervisor who came and instantly turned on the high pressure tactics. After running a 'camera', he proceeded to tell me the line that drains from the kitchen was completely corroded and deteriorated and pressured me into hydro jetting. I'm guessing it wasn't fair market price but I couldn't get comparable bids due to his pressure - if I didn't pre-pay that night, they wouldn't credit it against the repair. Against my better judgement, and not having a working kitchen sink and laundry, I agreed. The supervisor was already talking about jack hammering up my concrete. Told me he would be there first thing in the morning to oversee the job as he had nothing going on. I got a text at 7:05 AM saying the supervisor was on his way....3.5 hours later a different crew showed up. They jetted the line, and did clear the blockage but told me the line looked fine?!? There was no break to locate...very little corrosion and it certainly wasn't leaking water into the ground because of complete deterioration. I realized I had totally been played by high pressure tactics from a company that appears to profit off people in unfortunate circumstances. Oh, and they cut our Christmas lights in the front yard. Edit: I'm modifying the review and ratings after Rachel reached out to me twice to discuss my experience. She listened and understood my concerns and restored my confidence in AAA. I'm impressed that my perspective was heard and action was taken by AAA. Will definitely consider using them again after this interaction.
